While 1.7 has some plusses, there are some serious disadvantages. So, my elevator business is out of business. Of course, I tested in 1.7, but they slipped this new rule in about objects giving objects items due to the other days attack perhaps? - dunno if it will be much use, since there are plenty of other ways to attack SL, and all thats happened is innocent scripters like me are hurt.
All my land is in groups, so I can't play with self assembling objects anymore (at least not how I have been doing them).
Oh well, back to my first love, partcles.

Happy 1.7 day
Today is 1.7 day in SL. While it’s unfortunate that certain improvements like web-on-prim and Havok 2 didn’t make the cut, there are still a number of improvements to get excited about.
Attachments having the ability to move is one that will be fun for a lot of the eye candy it will lead to. It seems unicode support has been beefed up. Not big news to some people, but I am hoping it will make finalizing babbler a bit easier. Also some asset-render-priority changes as well - so this should hopefully resolves some lag issues, especially when in a busy sim. Anyhow, it will be good to see how it shakes out. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will go smoothly.
