Patience
on Monday, January 15th, 2007 at 8:18 pmSo there’s some issues with email deliveries in second life tonight. Not sure what the problem is. I tried switching over to a new delivery object, and it doesn’t seem to be receiving any emails meant for it, so I’m not sure whats going on. Deliveries are moving, just very slow. Topped off with a big ass backlog of Registrator updates. Naturally, I’ll be working on fixing this. I always planned to, but there never seemed to ba a rush.
Unfortunately, [someone tell me if I’m wrong] there doesnt seem to be a LL grid ‘weather’ page, to find out about the health of various aspects of the grid relating to scripts. Unfortunate, because it would be handy to be able to eliminate that possibility. So, be patient, you should get yours eventually. Try again later if it never shows.
[update 12::00am est] So, it’s not me. My emails into SL are delayed - been doing some tests. In theory, nothing seems to be getting lost. I’m getting objects, just very late. So hang in there. And I’m learning lots from this.
[update 12:53est] so the delay is ~1hr on emails into SL right now. This is from gmail->sl, and from my webserver->sl. Looks like I’m rebuilding my distribution network sooner than i thought.
[update 9:11am est] Looks like it’s all back to normal. Can’t log in to check,b but my test email only took 1 min to get inworld.
